Fourth Round Loss To De Minaur

Daniil Medvedev Suffers Disappointing French Open Exit

Fourth Round Loss to De Minaur

PARIS, France - Daniil Medvedev's disappointing record at the French Open continued on Monday as he fell in the fourth round to Australia's Alex de Minaur in four sets.

Early Exit in 2023

Medvedev's defeat marks his second major upset in this year's tournament. In the first round, he was stunned by Brazilian qualifier Thiago Seyboth Wild, who is ranked 170 places below him.

The Russian fifth seed had shown signs of improvement in the third round, defeating Tomas Machac of the Czech Republic in five sets. However, he was unable to maintain that momentum against De Minaur.

Medvedev's loss adds to the growing list of surprises at the 2023 French Open, with several top players falling early in the tournament.
